Frozen Liquid

Frozen in time, that is.

Mothers Day, an impromptu shopping spree in the local garden store, and an impromptu photo-shoot. This was one of the many water features they sold there, a simple dome with a hole in the top, constantly spurting a little film-canister-sized jet of water. Underneath it, 6 LEDs illuminating it.

Got real close, opened the shutter to soak in the light that would get cut so short by an exposure time of 1/1600th of a second. The store wasn't that dark, but limiting the light to such an instant in time made the dome pitch black. I was going to keep this a mystery, but I thought I'd spill the beans to make you all think of your surroundings with the photographer's eye, even if that image only exists for an instant you can't comprehend.
